Archdiocesan Shrine of St. Anne - Wedding Rules

W E D D I N G

1.                  No weddings are scheduled on Mondays and Sundays.

2.                  Wedding schedules TUESDAY – SATURDAY ( 9AM, 11AM, 2PM & 4PM ).

3.                  The couples should make an arrangement at least 2 months before the wedding.

4.                  REQUIREMENTS :

·         Baptismal and Confirmation Certificates with notation for marriage purposes only.

·         Marriage License for those not yet married.

·         Original Marriage Contract for those civilly married.

·         Publication of Wedding Banns for 3 consecutive Sundays (to be prepared by the Shrine Office and published in the respective parishes of the groom and Bride.)

·         In case of :

Mixed Marriage : secure a permit from the Diocese Chancery Office.

Marriage between a Filipino & a Foreigner : secure Civil Status at the Foreign Embassy

·         Parental Consent for minors 25 yrs. old below.

5.                  Other Requirements :

·         Canonical Interview with the Priest of St. Anne to be scheduled by the Shrine Office

·         Church Seminar to be scheduled by the Shrine Office

·         Individual Confession for both Groom and Bride a day before the wedding.

6.                  Church Decoration :

·         St. Anne Parish provides a decoration that is simple, elegant and proper for the religious ceremony.

·         If however, the contracting parties wishes to have more elaborate flower arrangement must be coordinated with our Official florist.

7.                  Wedding Music :

·         If the Shrine provides for music, formal arrangements should be made at least three days before the wedding.

·         Own choir and organist maybe allowed but in coordination with the office staff.

·         If couple’s choir and /or organist fail to come on wedding date, it will be the couple’s responsibility to look for substitute.

8.                  THE PRIEST

·         If the contracting party invites their own priest, ST. ANNE PARISH should be informed and letter of delegation will be given to the said priests.

·         If the priest fails to come on the wedding date, the wedding party is responsible in looking for the substitute.

9.                  VIDEO & PHOTOGRAPHERS

Photographers / Videographers other than those accredited by the Shrine must secure a clearance permit from the Shrine at least a month before the wedding date and abide by the guidelines set by the shrine to preserve solemnity of the celebration.

10.              The time assigned for the whole ceremony is 1 hour, including the entrance and the recession. The ceremony must strictly start on time; THE SHRINE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY REASON FOR DELAY, Fifteen (15) minutes delay could mean cancellation of the wedding mass. Since there are other schedules in the Shrine.

11.              Principal and Secondary Sponsors in backless dresses will not permitted.

12.              All documents must be submitted at least one week before the wedding date.

13.              Fee : To be paid one week before the wedding date.

RESERVATION FEE  :  One Thousand (P1,000.00) non-refundable reservation fee is required upon confirmation of the reservation.
